Welcome Friends!
Hello Friends! Welcome to M2 and madisonmoyer.com. For years I have been wanting to start a blog. I have made every excuse in the book not to… no one will read it, who am I to feel that what I have to say is important, I’m too busy, etc. Yet, time and time again, my heart kept coming back to this and I knew it was something I needed to do. 2019 is the year that it becomes a reality and I am so excited to welcome you to this space! Before we jump into posts, let me introduce you to both myself and to the blog.
My name is Madison Moyer. I am a wife to Ray, mommy to Millie, pet mom to Piper and Oliver, a Christian, a teacher to second grade littles, a graduate student pursuing her master’s degree, and someone who has been pursuing a more intentional, simple, and present life. We call Northeastern Pennsylvania home, but enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I have always loved to write and believe words are powerful and should be chosen carefully. Through my posts, you will learn more about me, our life, and my journey/tips and tricks to finding a simpler, fulfilling life.
M2 is a representation of many things that will be reflected in this blog. My name is Madison Moyer and my nickname from many friends was always Momma Mads. I fit that role in reality now as a mom to a beautiful 7-month-old baby girl. Her name is Millie, also M2. She is named after my grandmother Mildred Legg, whom truly is where many of my words are inspired and drawn from. This blog will have certain weekly topics such as Mommy Moments, Monday Mantras, and Muddy Memories (stemming from wisdom, stories, or lessons from my Grandma whose nickname was Mud or other special people in my life). This blog has a purpose of helping people like myself who may be struggling with things like being present, living with intentionality, the ups and downs of being a mom, or simply sharing heartfelt words and stories that may serve as inspiration to others.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope it inspires you to live a life that is fulfilling to you in whatever way that may be. I hope that this blog gives others a voice, allows other people to relate to my words, and for others to know that they are not alone. The internet is a gift and tool that helps so many, but can also be so isolating if we let it. May you always remember that this life is what we make it, even on the hardest of days is a gift, and every moment is insanely precious.
Here’s to pursuing a present, simple life by living intently and always remembering what matters and what doesn’t. Remember to give yourself grace and permission to enjoy the journey. I’m always in your corner, cheering you on, and pulling for you friend!
With love always, Madison
